Our simple sharpening process
We’ve been doing this for over 20 years, so we know a thing or two about how to sharpen blades! We use different machines tailored for dog and horse blades to ensure the best result.
How to send us your clippers
- Wrap the individual items in something to protect them, bubble wrap for example
- Put them in a padded envelope or a cardboard box
- Include your details and which service(s) you require by doing one of the following:
- Paying online for your blade sharpening, ceramic blade sharpening or horse blade sharpening, and include your confirmation reference in your parcel
- Print and complete our order form and include it in your parcel
- Include your name, phone number and the return address
- Then seal the parcel and send your clipper blades to us at:

To make sure your clippers arrive safely, we would suggest sending them using a tracked and signed-for service. This way, you can have peace of mind knowing that they've arrived at their destination.

Sharpening FAQs
Our clipper blade sharpening process will include
- Disassembly and inspection for broken teeth on cutters and comb
- Lapping on our bespoke fine wheels
- Inspection of hollow grind
- Washing and degreasing of cutter and comb
- Inspect components for wear such as blade guide and spring moldings
- Assemble and oil
- Adjust Set-back of cutter and adjust blade socket
- Test blade and adjust tension if necessary for performance
- Once completed all successfully sharpened clipper blades will be packaged separately

There is no definitive answer, it all depends on how much we must sharpen to get a quality cutting edge. Don’t worry, if we can’t sharpen your blade we’ll let you know and will not charge you.
We don’t. We don’t believe you should settle for substandard sharpening and we know we couldn’t get the same results operating from a mobile setting. That is why we offer a quick turn around on blade sharpening through our postal service to allow you to get a high-quality sharpen quickly.
